Rick Clasby, Executive Director of the Utah Trucking Association, is recognized for his steadfast dedication and leadership in advancing the interests of Utah’s trucking industry. With a robust background spanning over two decades in transportation and logistics, Rick has been a key architect in shaping legislative policies that foster safe and efficient freight movement. His tenure at the Utah Trucking Association is defined by strategic initiatives aimed at raising industry standards, advocating for driver welfare, and cultivating collaborative relationships among trucking firms, regulatory bodies, and local communities. Under his guidance, the UTA has solidified its role as a leading advocate for Utah’s trucking community, navigating challenges and championing innovation to drive sustainable growth across the transportation sector.

 

In addition to his pivotal role at the Utah Trucking Association, Rick Clasby is a prominent figure in community leadership demonstrated by his tenure on the ChamberWest Board of Directors and Board of Governors since 2017. He has held notable leadership roles, including Chair of the Board in 2021 and 2022, and the current Past Chair and Chair of the Nominations Committee. His strategic vision and collaborative approach have significantly influenced the ChamberWest Legislative Affairs Committee as he has played a pivotal role in its growth and impact since its inception, serving as Chair of the Transportation Subcommittee. Through his leadership and advocacy, Rick continues to demonstrate a steadfast commitment to advancing ChamberWest's mission of supporting local businesses through advocacy, networking, and educational initiatives and the enduring value it brings to businesses and communities alike.
