My involvement with the ChamberWest Women in Business has been ongoing for more than 10 years. Being with successful women from all areas is motivating and inspires me to be better overall. ChamberWest is the most amazing organization I have ever had the privilege of enjoying membership with. I have had opportunities to: meet and interact with state and federal legislators, work with women in business, learn to golf, travel to Europe, support education and communities through fundraisers and service opportunities, meet some of the most amazing people who have become good friends, learn about Utah and the westside future business and growth opportunities, learn from mayors and council people in our cities, support great restaurants and businesses on the westside and so much more...I enjoy this chamber so much I have joined individually when I did not have organizational support. I would highly recommend joining ChamberWest if you want business opportunities, learning experiences, networking, friendship or just a great way to become part of the westside business community.
The Legislative Affairs committee has allowed me to easily communicate directly with local leaders, State legislators, and business leaders to provide input regarding legislative efforts and bills that have a direct impact on the District. I have taken advantage of the Chamber’s Leadership training. It has been exceptional! I have enrolled the members of my management team, and it has made a difference in how they lead our staff and interact with our community. I have taken the opportunity to have many of my female staff participate in the Women in Business activities. Well worth it. On several occasions I and our management team attend the Business Success Series as they present topics that have a direct impact on how KID serves our community. Many of the services that we use and need as a business are provided by Chamber members as result of our interactions. The list goes on and on.
If you have been approached by Barbara or her staff to consider membership in ChamberWest, I would encourage you to give membership in the Chamber a “test drive”. It has been invaluable to the Kearns Improvement District. If you jump in and become involved with the extraordinary men and women who are a part of the Chamber, it will enhance your business as well!
ChamberWest is an amazing chamber to be a part of. The support and collaboration with them and all the businesses they support is incredible. If you run, manage or own a business or lead in any capacity you are doing yourself a disservice if you do not join.
